The Best Gifts for Bloggers & Vloggers
Fun Gifts for bloggers
T-shirts with Blogging slogans
Who doesn’t love a super apt slogan T-shirt? These cute T-shirts on Etsy with blogging slogans and these from Amazon, would make great stocking fillers for bloggers. You could even design your own t-shirt with their blog logo – what better way to get increased brand exposure?!
We all need a little motivation from time to time. Why not print off some motivational prints which you can then frame for your blogger friends home office?
Blogging can be hectic, especially if you’re a one-man-band trying to juggle content creation, photo editing, social media, SEO strategy, Pinterest strategy, email marketing… You get the picture!
Help keep your blogger friend sane by getting them a blogging planner to help store ideas, monitor progress and plan their content strategies.
Stationery for bloggers
Bloggers love stationery. Anything which can sit on our desks and look pretty whilst remaining useful is a plus in my book.
So if you’re looking for a gift for a blogger on a budget then consider some pretty stationery. Think desk organisers and pretty notebooks or address books.
These can also be used as props for flat lay photos – another super useful blogging idea!
Coffee gifts for bloggers
Many bloggers will work all night and day on their precious websites and are fuelled by coffee. So make their lives a little easier with a coffee-inspired gift like this Coffee and Chocolate gift set.
Mugs with motivational messages
Speaking of coffee, if you’re looking for a stocking filler for a blogger, then what about a mug which keeps them motivated?!
There are heaps to choose from on Amazon including motivational water bottles for those who like their drinks cold.
Books for bloggers
I love an inspiring book as much as I love an inspiring blog post. Reading about how other people reached success can be really motivating. So consider getting your blogger friend a book to motivate them to reach their potential.
Courses for bloggers
Pinterest courses with Redefining Mom
I can’t rave about these courses enough. Monica from Redefining Mom is an expert Pinterest strategist and her courses cover every aspect of the platform from how to set up your Pinterest strategy to how to make affiliate sales or build your email list using promoted pins. Her Pinterest courses also go way above and beyond getting traffic from Pinterest, she also talks about how to turn this traffic into loyal followers and email subscribers.
My favourite course of hers is Pin Practical Influence which teaches Pinterest affiliate marketing and touches upon email marketing and sales funnels. Highly recommended for the more advanced pinner.
She also has some free courses, Pin Practical funnelling and Pin Practical Ads which you should definitely tell your blogger about, but you might look like a cheapskate getting them a free course for Christmas… 😉
Explosive Traffic with Tribes E-Book by Chic Pursuits
The Explosive Traffic with Tribes E-book is perfect for anyone who wants to learn how to make the best use from Tailwind tribes. This particular Pinterest strategy recommends upgrading to unlimited tribe submissions which can be a little costly but it’s an informative, useful E-book that focusses on advanced Pinterest strategies.
Paid To create Course with Marta from Where Life Is Great
If your blogger friend is keen to learn how to get paid for a sponsored campaign then this is the course for them. Marta teaches you how to land 5-figure sponsorship deals even if you do not have a huge following in this course, Paid to Create.
Gifts for bloggers to help them run their website
I love updating my blogs look but actually updating a blog’s theme can have multiple benefits including improving website speed and reader usability.
Most premium theme’s start from around $50.
Divi via Elegant themes is a lot more pricey but many people like it because it’s easy to customise. That said, it is a bit of a bloated theme which means that all the bells and whistles have the potential to slow the website down.
Happy Themes is great if you’re not sure what your blogger friend wants as they can access multiple themes with 1 account.
However, my personal favourite theme is Flatsome (which this website is created with.) It’s fast, affordable, easy to customise and you can build it using a drag and drop visual page builder so it’s easy for everyone to use. It also works well with ECommerce if you’re planning to sell your own products at any point. I can’t recommend it enough.
Theme Forest have several other fantastic themes but this is definitely my fave and your blogger friend is bound to love it!
Being self-hosted is important for anyone who wants to make money with their blogs.
Plugins are like apps on a phone. They provide extra functionality for the website, usually making your blogger friends life a lot easier in the process!
This plugin, Thirsty Affiliates, will save your blogger friend SO MUCH time by storing all of their affiliate links in one place. It will even add them automatically when triggered by allocated keywords. Then it tracks them and gives you detailed information about how each link performs.
WP Rocket is my go-to premium plugin for keeping my websites fast. It’s easy for even beginner bloggers to implement helping to keep websites fast and therefore more likely to rank on the first page of Google and retain readers for longer.
Optimonster is the perfect plugin for those trying to build an email list offering a huge variety of options to help collect emails.
WP Forms is a fun little plugin which allows website owners to conduct surveys and polls, email sign up forms and contact forms.
Photography gifts for bloggers
Almost all bloggers have at least a passing interest in photography, even if its just mastering the art of smartphone photography! The good news is that there are plenty of gifts you can buy a blogger interested in photography. In fact, on my other blog, I have a whole post dedicated to finding the best gifts for photographers.
Presets are a great option for the busy blogger who wants to edit their photos to make them look beautiful but just does not have the time to edit each picture individually.
By using presets, they can install these into lightroom (via their adobe subscription or the free phone app) and easily give their photos a polished professional cohesive look at the click of a button.
Why not check out these presets from Chic Pursuits?!
Stock Photo subscription
For bloggers who don’t like taking their own photos or perhaps find photography a challenge they could do without, another solution might be stock photos. Stock photos are actually useful for all bloggers – I use them even though I would class myself as a proficient photographer. But sometimes I need a very specific shot I don’t have or can’t recreate. Stock Photos save me a LOT of time.
An Adobe subscription
This is one of the absolute best gifts for bloggers – I would be lost without my Adobe subscription. Not only is it a useful gift but it’s also a lot of fun. I love editing my photos with these tools which allow for a lot of individuality and creativity.
I mostly use Photoshop for photo manipulation or editing portraits as well as creating graphics.
Lightroom is my tool of choice for simple edits or to edit a landscape photo. I create many of my own presets which I can apply to all my photos at a click of a button to keep my photos looking consistent.
If you’ve got the budget then your blogger friend is bound to love a new camera as their Christmas pressie this year.
There are a few that I recommend.
At the highest price point, I highly recommend the Sony A7iii which is the camera I use. It’s not just me that recommends this camera, it has a great reputation amongst photographers and gets rave reviews on Amazon.
Before I upgraded to a full-frame mirrorless camera, I used an entry-level DSLR, the Nikon D5500. This has been replaced by a newer version, the Nikon D5600 which I would recommend to anyone who prefers a DSLR to a mirrorless camera. I loved it and think its a great camera for a beginner or intermediate photographer who doesn’t want to spend a fortune on camera gear.
For an underwater camera, I use a Go Pro. I have the Hero 6 but I’d love to upgrade to the Hero 8 for the increased image stability.
When I film videos, I use a DJI Osmo Pocket. It has an in-built gimbal so the picture remains smooth even when you are walking or running. It’s also tiny so it is super discreet and convenient to pop in your purse.
If you’re looking for a camera on a strict budget, here are some great options with great reviews at different price points:
- Highest rated cameras under $100
- Highest rated cameras under $200
- Highest rated cameras under $300
- Highest rated cameras under $400
Every budding photographer knows that photography is not a cheap hobby. The better you get, the more accessories and lenses they will want to invest in. So you can make their day by getting them some handy photography accessories!
A Camera Bag
I love this camera bag because it looks pretty, does not look like a camera bag but yet has loads of space and pockets for all of my equipment. I always feel safer carrying this than a camera bag which screams ‘see inside for expensive kit!’
If you are choosing a camera bag, make sure you choose one with plenty of space for a camera and a few lenses, plenty of pockets, comfy wide straps, a strap for a tripod, space for a laptop and rain protection. Here are some of the best-rated camera bags on Amazon.
Every photographer or blogger needs a decent tripod. Whether it’s for allowing them to take photos with themselves in it or for photographing the night sky or a flat lay photo from above, a tripod is a total necessity.
I use 2 tripods. The first is my main tripod which I take on landscape shoots. For this, I use the lightweight travel Benro Carbon fibre tripod. It’s light, sturdy and did a great job, even in the windy weather when I was in Iceland.
The 2nd is this tiny tripod which is so small that I barely notice it in my backpack. This is the one that comes with me on most of my trips as its just so light
A photography book
If your blogger friend is new to photography and looking to up their game, then what about a book about photography?
Here are a few you might consider;
- Food Photography: From snapshots to great photos
- Lonely Planet’s Travel Photography (my absolute favourite photography book!)
- How to master flat lay photography for increased social media engagement and marketing.
- The Photographers Guide to Posing – techniques to flatter everyone
A photography magazine subscription
The gift for bloggers which will keep on giving for the rest of the year – get them a subscription fo a photographer magazine such as this one.
Take their photography to new heights, literally, with a drone. This would be a great gift for a travel or photography blogger.
I personally use the DJI Spark – it’s super small, compact and lightweight making it easy to travel with.
Flat lay photography tools
Many bloggers will incorporate flat lay’s into their photography repertoire – especially those in the food, blogging or beauty niche. So you could consider getting them some pretty backgrounds for their photos or a lightbox to provide the perfect lighting and white backgrounds!
Hopefully, you now have the perfect idea for a gift for the blogger in your life! Or maybe some gift ideas or yourself. I won’t tell if you don’t… 😉
